Yaoundé, October 27, 2025 — Today, the Constitutional Council officially sanctioned what every Cameroonian already knew: the October 12 Presidential election was stolen. Project C categorically rejects the results proclaimed, calling them a blatant denial of the people’s will and a national disgrace for Cameroonian democracy.
In recent weeks, Cameroonians witnessed, in real time, the hijacking of their electoral process by agents of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM). Votes transparently counted at polling stations bore almost no relation to the numbers ultimately announced by the National Vote Counting Commission. The final declaration—delivered with ceremony but without credibility—does not reflect the truth witnessed by the millions who participated, nor those who courageously documented widespread manipulation.
Article 2 of Cameroon’s Constitution is clear: sovereignty resides with the people. And the people of Cameroon turned out for change, acting within the boundaries of the law to determine their own future. Today’s declaration sends a chilling message: in Cameroon, democratic change is impossible through peaceful means. This is a coup in all but name. With this act, the regime has wholly surrendered its legitimacy.
Project C stands firmly with every Cameroonian who believes their voice was stolen. These results do not represent you, or the future you deserve. We demand full transparency, a return to the rule of law, and accountability for those who subverted the people’s will for their own gain.
Your vote mattered. Your voice matters. They cannot erase 27 million Cameroonians.
We will not be silent. We will not relent. The struggle for a new, representative democracy continues.
