To the people of Cameroon and friends of our beloved nation,
Cameroon stands at a critical crossroads. Since the national elections on October 12, our country has fallen into a dangerous leadership vacuum. The will of the people—expressed clearly at the ballot box in favor of change and for President-elect Issa Tchiroma Bakary—has been ignored. Instead, Mr. Paul Biya, now 94 and in power for 44 years, refuses to step down, using military force to defy the people’s mandate.
This is not governance; this is a crisis of legitimacy and of the nation’s very soul. The country is adrift, run by unelected proxies and shadowy interests. The Secretary General of the Presidency Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, routinely exceeds his constitutional authority, wielding power through so-called “haute instruction” without public accountability. The Prime Minister Dr. Dion Ngute, continues to keep a fair distance from the daily management of state affairs. The President of the Senate is absent from public life. The Speaker of the National Assembly is widely viewed as incapable of fulfilling his responsibilities. The Presidency of the Economic and Social Council remains vacant following the death of the last president. Cameroon today is a nation without a pilot.
Recent developments at the Douala Ports Authority have exposed the depth of our crisis. The open struggle between camps loyal to the Secretary General and the Prime Minister over vital port contracts has paralyzed one of Cameroon’s most important economic lifelines. Even more troubling, the involvement of the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) in this purely civilian dispute sets a dangerous precedent—military intervention in political disagreements. We categorically condemn this abuse of power and call on all Cameroonians to remain vigilant and to reject any attempt to normalize such violations.
To the Armed Forces: Your loyalty is to the nation and its constitution—not to any individual or faction. You must reject unlawful orders that would divide our military and betray your sworn duty to protect the people of Cameroon.
To the People of Cameroon: The coming days are both delicate and decisive. We must not allow our country to descend into chaos, violence, or destruction. Mr. Biya’s illegitimate hold on power and his clear inability to govern have brought us to the brink. But we, the people, must stand firm in our commitment to peace, unity, and constitutional order.
Project C calls for a peaceful, lawful, and transparent transition of power that honors the will of the Cameroonian people. We reject any suggestion of military rule or the use of force to resolve political disputes. We insist that the voices and votes of Cameroonians be respected, and that the transition to new leadership follows the rule of law.
This is a time for moral clarity and civic courage. We urge every Cameroonian to stay united, vigilant, and peaceful. Speak out against abuses, support each other, and demand that our democratic rights are upheld. Our future depends on our resolve and unity.
Let us prove, together, that the destiny of Cameroon will not be decided by force or by fear, but by the courage and determination of its people.
